COVID-19 UPDATE

As our precious clientele are CHILDREN we will proceed with extreme caution. We will dance…

but we will take steps with every precaution in place..

Students will receive complete information for their performance date, time & procedures at their first review class.

THE 21/22 PHD DANCE SEASON WILL START SEPTEMBER 11th.

Current procedures below are in effect for our dance season until further notice.

(Guidelines have been set by Governor Wolfe’s green phase.)

PHD DANCE STUDIO will move forward accordingly.

New Procedures for in person instruction:

1.- All dancers are to come dressed for class.

Your dancer will need to bring:

...a mask (worn when entering and exiting the studio) with small plastic bag for storage when not in use

…a dance bag/ backpack that should include ONLY the items necessary for that class. (dance shoes required for class attendance, water bottle labeled with dancer’s name, hair ties / pins, and personal hand sanitizer)

…If students need to bring a cell phone, it must remain in their dance bag until needed.

2.-- STUDIO LOBBY

We have decided that with the growing numbers in our area that we will keep the lobby closed.  However, with that said parents may come into the front room for drop-off and pick-up.  The main waiting area will be designated for students only to place their things while they are in class.

NEW THIS YEAR- We missed being able to invite parents into the studio last year and decided that we will be asking parents to come in for the last 5 minutes of class on the first week of each month.  This will make it easier to have communication with you, get information out and for you to see what your dancers have been learning!

…Upon studio entry, dancers will wait in a designated spot in the waiting room until it is time to go upstairs. While waiting we are asking dancers to put their street shoes in their dance bag and put their jazz shoes on. Dancers should have their dance bag and a labeled water bottle ONLY.

…Once all dancers have arrived, students will be escorted upstairs.

…Dismissal, At the end of class time dancers will be brought back to the waiting area to gather their belongings and brought to the front room to be picked-up.

...Studio Office will be open the first week of each month. Our studio manager Gina will be posting her office hours to let you know what days she is available.

If we are mandated to retract in person classes- the studio will automatically switch to zoom classes until we are able to reopen. Tuition will remain the same and payable on their due dates, until we are able to adjust on a per month basis.

Payment Policies

We now accept PayPal, major credit cards, personal checks, and cash payments.  Online payments may also be made @ www.phddancers.com

Monthly payments will be due by the 7th of each current month beginning with NOVEMBER. As of the 15th of each month a $10 accumulative late fee will automatically be applied to your bill. Monthly payments will remain the same regardless of the number of classes scheduled for that month. Accounts more than 30 days past due will result in your dancer being unable to participate in class until the account is brought current. Any returned check is subject to a $30 service charge as well as any additional fees the studio may incur.

Dancers are to bring their payment in an envelope labeled with the dancer’s name/ class name/ amount enclosed and payment application. (tuition/ merchandise/or costume.)  If the office is closed, the envelope should be placed in the office mailbox prior to entering class.

We have set up a studio email address which will directly connect you to our studio manager Jill. If she is not in the office at the time to receive payments, she will be able to email you cash receipts, or respond to any payment questions you may have.

Please add phddanceoffice@gmail.com to your email contacts to insure you can receive emails from this address. Be sure to always include student name & class with your inquiries!

We are invested in the future of our studio and the safety of our staff & students.

The studio has purchased 2 industrial air purifiers for the dance areas, as well as one for the waiting area. We have rewired the furnaces & installed new thermostats with the “fan only” option – so to best circulate the air flow within each room. Furnace filters are now medical grade (removing most allergens, bacteria & virus particles) Both studios have ceiling & floor fans in order that proper ventilation will be maintained at all times.

For now, it is indeed a new normal. Our hope is that you all can be patient with us as we move down the road of unfamiliar territory.  The safety of our dancers, their families and our staff are of the utmost importance.

We fully intend to maintain a strict regimen for cleaning and social distancing as needed. As we all have individual outlooks as to the “comeback” for our children and families, It is paramount that we ALL respect the process and work together to make our dancers happy, healthy, and safe.

  • Sickness:  If your dancer or anyone in your house is not feeling well, we are asking you to please keep your dancer at home.  If we have a dancer that says they are not feeling well, they will be separated from the group- you will be notified immediately, and we will ask you to return to the studio to take them home.  At no time will they be left alone. The same pick up procedure will need to be followed.

It is, also with the greatest respect for your privacy, we ask that throughout this process- if your child or a family member comes in contact with a Covid positive person- to please notify us so we may take the precautionary measures for those involved. If a student or PHD staff member should test positive for Covid19 we will follow all procedures

as guided by the Pennsylvania department of health.

With the frequent use of hand sanitizers-

Please let us know if your child has an allergy to this product.

Please- if your child is ill, do NOT bring them to dance class!

Please know, if we are mandated to cease “in studio” classes- we are fully prepared to continue our dance season via virtual learning using live and pre-recorded classes through zoom and Band until we are able to reopen.

Thank you for choosing PHD!

You will be notified via email for the 21/22

We are very excited to see your faces and get back in the studio

please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
